Let me take a few minutes to introduce myself and how I came about being an interior designer in Williamsburg, Virginia.
My signature style is designing updated and exciting, colorful interiors with a nod to traditional pieces.
Designing a space that works for a busy (and sometimes messy) family is at the forefront of every project. Each family is unique and their home should WOW them every time they walk in the door. But it should also be a functional and not an untouchable space.
My start in interior design stemmed from my blog, StampinFool.com, which focuses on teaching you the elements of decorating. After my DIY kids bathroom renovation was featured by Today.com {Today Show} and Apartment Therapy, I knew my inclination for decorating ran deeper than just a blog and began soaking up all the design education I could.
As I looked back to my first childhood design choices of pink carpet & a blue ticking stripe + floral Tommy Hilfiger bedding (yes, I would choose them again in a heartbeat!), and I knew each project would be a representation of doing what I love and helping other families achieve the same exhilarating feeling of a gorgeous home that represents them over and over again.
I founded April Waltrip Interiors, a full service interior design firm in Williamsburg, VA to fulfill that need. Today, we offer services ranging from the Zhuzh (consultation) to Full Service Design & DIY E-Design packages.
