Welcome! I’m April.
Are you looking for an interior designer in Williamsburg, VA or virtually? Look no further!
I’m so glad you’re here at AW Interiors. Get to know us by taking a look around tat our curated services, resources to help your decorating journey, and recent portfolio pics of my past projects.
Allow me to reintroduce myself: My signature style is designing updated, colorful interiors with a nod to traditional pieces and style. I love wallpaper and pattern, so you’ll see a lot of that in my work!
We primarily work in two ways- designing places for your family to gather (think the family room, kitchen remodel, bedroom retreat) and helping you navigate the custom home building process.
Designing a space that works for your busy (and sometimes messy) family is at the forefront of every project we take. Your family is unique and your home should WOW you every time you walk in the door. But it should also be a functional and not an untouchable space.
So whether you need a living room do over or you are building your dream home and don’t want to mess it up, we’re there to help you bring it to life.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
My interior design life stemmed from my blog, StampinFool.com, which focuses on teaching you the elements of decorating. After my DIY kids bathroom renovation was featured by Today.com [Today Show] and Apartment Therapy, I knew my eye for decorating ran deeper than just a blog and I began soaking up all the design education I could.
As I looked back to my first childhood design choices of pink carpet & a blue ticking stripe + floral Tommy Hilfiger bedding (yes, I would choose them again in a heartbeat!), I know each project will be a labor of love by helping other families achieve the same exhilarating feeling of a gorgeous home that represents them over and over again.
With service and gratitude at the forefront, I founded April Waltrip Interiors, a full service interior design firm in Williamsburg, VA to fulfill that need. Today, we offer services ranging from The Zhuzh (consultation) to Full Service turn key Design & DIY E-Design packages. If you want to fall in love with your home every time you open the door, become a client. Online or in person.
